Seats have leather peeling

My seats work perfectly, but the leather is peeling off. No tears yet. They just look very bad. It's really only the driver seat. I'm considering either swapping them or recovering. I can't find any original seats to swap in. What else fits. I can find lots of Town cars and Tbirds. What fits. Or should I just look for new upholstery. Even the seat covers seem to be hard to find. I want to do this as cheaply as possible with good results.

As far as I know, the seats are unique to this particular vehicle. Recovering, or finding a good, used seat, is your best bet.

I know some have taken a good used /passenger/ seat skin, and swapped it onto the driver's seat. You'll end up with the "fuzzy" bit that's designed to rub against the center console on the outside, but most will never notice.

What year car/what color interior? I don't have spare parts, but plenty of folks on this forum do. They may have an option for you.

If you swap for a passenger seat skin you could have an upholsterer switch the panels.

Bill at Super Coupe also sells replacement leather. He has different pricing options.

I saw the ones at super coupe, but I can't afford that. I have a grey interior. It's probably worth shopping around in Tucson for someone to do it. The right shop will probably do the same type of high quality work that I had done in Hermosillo years ago on my truck. Probably more pricey though. It's just too much of a pain to go there now; 4+ hour wait at the US border on a good day.

I would find a nice set of seat skins (drivers or passenger) and re-cover them yourself.
