Maybe we can get Mr. Schulz out this year with our advanced notice!!

I look forward to seeing old friends and some new ones as well.

And yes I still miss the Mark, the Marauder? not so much.

Thanks Gary! I have marked my calendar as well. Is it safe to assume the venue remains the same? The Atlanta Dragway, in Commerce?

For those not in the know, this is the Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout. A bracket racing event for cars 4000 lbs and heavier. It's a heck of a good time, and very well organized.

I highly recommend making the trip.

So my girls surprised me with a early birthday gift a couple weeks ago when I was in NC visiting during the 4th holiday. It is a great gift - some laps around Atlanta Motorsports Park driving a Lamborghini Huracan! One problemo, it was schedule for November 12! :eek-large:

I talked it over with them, and they had plans to come to Atlanta and watch me drive but no commitments yet, so they are calling Xtreme Xperience to see if they can reschedule for Sunday, the 13th.

This should be a exciting weekend if it all works out! :thumbsup:

Ha!! Please keep us posted! Just yesterday, Luke and Eric pulled me aside at the car show, and said "You know, you really need to drive a Ferrari sometime..

So it seems to be worth the trouble.. :)

I did some autocrossing in my little car back in the day. It stuck like glue to the road and then it would come around with no warning. I miss that car. :frown:

I hope to be there if I can get my junk to run. Not sure if I will be spending the night in Commerce though. I might have to commute from Kennesaw depending on how many people and their pets decide to come to visit.

I've packed in a whole bunch of vacations lately, but I really do like this event. I have to see if I can make it work.

And maybe check the weight of the rental-spec MKZ..
