The headers will not fit with the stock exhaust. I don't know how the mid-pipes fit, haven't gotten that far yet.

Made some progress (after being sick for a couple of weeks)...

I thought my SC was tough to work on, but with the same chassis and a bigger motor, there's even less room to work on my LSC. While the K-Member is down, I've also changed the engine mounts, a leaking oil pan gasket and will swap to an ADDCO 1 1/4" bar.

I'm also switching out the stock rag joint for a SS Flaming River piece. Anyone need some SS DD Bar? I had to buy 18", and it only takes 2" to make up a replacement for the rag joint. I made two, one for the LSC and another for my SC, so I've got 14" left.

Waiting on an O2 Sensor and Energy Suspension greasable sway bar mounts to button it up.

Next: Fabricating the exhaust piping

I was going to offer a suggestion of header style flanges at various break points for simpler removal and install in the future.

Thanks, I'm planning on using V-Bands after the center muffler and also after the diff.

The front section is ready to go out to be TIG welded, something that, unfortunately, I can't do myself.

Then it's on to the rest of the system. :)

While you're at it, consider chopping off the prone to leaking 3 bolt flanges of those headers, and using v-bands there as well. I hate those flanges.

Looks like great work, not that I would expect anything else from you ;)

Unfortunately, the headers are already coated, but the flanges I used are 1/2" thick stainless steel and with dead-soft aluminum gaskets, it should seal ok.

Thanks for the compliment

wow....very nice.

That kit looks awesome and very high quality. I have been wanting to do a center mounted muff system for a while now. And hack off this cut and pasted to fit tubes i got on there now.
But was waiting for a muffler 2 in, 2 out with crossover built in or very small length one mounted just ahead of it.
That Magnaflow looks perfect! (model number of muff please?). Just found that kit on your link. :) Im running dual mags now and luv them, but i want the mustang growl and you only get it with mid mounted muffs.

Thanks for sharing, :cool:do the finished whole length shot when ya get done.
and my exhaust guy said over and over "2 1/2" will not fit! You have to have 2 1/4" or no go". I wanna print this out and send it to him to show some quality system i wanted and paid for the first time out that i did not get..Jeese.
