Stainless Steel Headers and Exhaust

Roadboss

On Work Release
My set up is 3" Stainless all the way back, and yes the rear muffs hang down a little. I also have the car sitting high as well as I don't want to take any more chance of having contact with road trash.

Back to the welder....

I've finished fabricating the rest of the system, off the the welder tomorrow.

I'll post a final set of pics when I get it all installed.

FWIW, I can't recommend the dual kit that I bought, as I had to make so many changes, it would have be easier (and maybe cheaper) to just use seperate bends.

This is the last thing I'm doing for now, so the car will finally hit the streets (and the track) very soon. :big-grin:

Final pics of the tips coming out the back look great! To me!
If you look closely at the underside pic of the tips, you'll see that the right tip doesn't stick out quite as far as the left. I'm a perfectionist, and I won't be able to live with it

Looking great!

I have a mid-mount dual in/dual out Magnaflow #11385 on my '97 Thunderbird Limited Edition and I was thinking of going with a similar set up on the 97 LSC, and I am also considering a Flowmaster 2.25 inch dual in/dual out #524554 and deleting the rear mufflers. I'm not certain if the Flowmaster muffler has a built in crossover like the Magnaflow or not.

I don't know about deleting the rear mufflers. When I had just the cats and crossover muffler on, it was very loud. With the full system on it sounds great! Nice tone at idle.

Also they add some nice bling to the rear.

Emissions tray?

Florida car. ;) I'm going to take mine off and blast it (I have a bead blaster) and repaint it before it gets any worse.

That is it, the emissions tray, if mine was bead blasted there would be nothing left to it. Maybe you should see if you can get it powder coated.
