Wasn't bad at all. Loosening the bolts holding the power steering lines will give you some slack to drop it, none of the lines need to be disconnected. You'll probably need to at least check the alignment afterwards.

Those are similar ones I have on my 96 I bought mufflers and tips prewelded from LMS. I think the oval is a different size.
I think those will look good !! Have to figure what to do about the mufflers.

I guess I should first of all say "hello" to everyone.

First post here, but I frequent MarkVIII.org. Wow that is a great setup you have there.

I had just one question. I see that engine cradle brace piece of equipment you use to support the engine when you drop the K-member.

I assume you work at a shop, but what is even the name for that tool, and where is it obtainable? I'll have to redo my oilpan soon enough and need to look closer into that tool. Thanks

Welcome.

I used an OTC (OTC4324) Stinger Engine Support Bar to support the engine.

Not a shop, just my garage :)

I am about to buy a 4 post ... which brand is that ? Care to share your experience with it ? So far it's looking to me like Bendpak is the best for the money Thanks !

It's a Pro Park 7 from Greg Smith Equipment that I picked up in DE. Looks like it's been replaced with the Pro Park 8.

I also bought 2 Pro-Jack 3500 jacks which are an absolute MUST if you're actually going to work on the car, instead of just park it.

After spending most of my adult life working on my cars on my back, I think this is probably the best money I ever spent :D

Wow.

Well then I have to say I'm very envious and impressed with your garage setup. It's exactly what i want my garage to be like! (keep in mind I'm just nearly 19) Even after just working on car's up to this point in my life all on my back I can really understand how that would be the best money any DIY'er could spend.

Thanks for the quick reply also, I'll look into this stinger.

Absolutely gorgeous and sounds great! On my 97 Thunderbird Limited Edition I went with a dual in/dual out mid mounted Magnaflow with a cross-over, #11385 and with high-flow cats #94004. When my TBird no longer serves me, which may be in a few short months (*sniff*) I intend on taking the exhaust system from it and transplanting it to my 97 Mark LSC. For the Mark I wanted to go with a mid-mount dual in/dual out 50-series Flowmaster but if I can grab the system from the TBird I might as well go with that. I do have a slight drone with the Magnaflow but it's not bad at all.

Click the images to make them larger but before you do - these are on Imagevenue. Even though I marked them SAFE FOR WORK you may get a pop-up or an ad in the outer edges or aboe/below for adult stuff. I'm not a prude or uptight but be forewarned! YES, I know about my rusting exhaust shield!!!

God those things are a tight fit. Keep up on the install pics. Nice shop too. haha I want a lift now. ha :cool:
