Exhaust advice needed!

Hello all exhaust guru's!

Ok, this might sound absurd to the performance hungry Mark VIII driver, but because I am driving 99% in the city, I am really not concerned about any gains in the performance department.

Well, let me tell you what I am looking for, and maybe you can tell me if it is possible with my planned budget, and what to use!

I want (ok, "I would like"...LOL):

- a nice, deep rumble
- dual round tips on both sides
- chrome or S/S tips
- can be quite audible, just not obnoxious
- now maybe the hardest part: should be with install (Bumper cut-outs I do myself) not over $600.

Any ideas???

Thanks already in advance,
Marcus.

Hey Geno (I guess!)!

That last pic looks certainly awesome!

Two questions: Mine is a '94, so I have no cutouts yet and am wondering if the mufflers can be mounted evenly, so the tips are not on an angle? And if a setup like that really can be done within my budget including the labor?

Thanks,
Marcus.

You can use the twin tipped muffler we sell but the oval cut-out will be more narrow then the tip spread so it would look a little funny.

There really isn't any twin tipped set-up's that I have seen that will fit in that stock slot.

Our system will put you over budget slightly but you get what you pay for. Our systems were specifically designed for this car, Best most exotic sound, looks, performance and torque, guaranteed.

Heres some more LMS bytes with various LMS stainless steel mufflers.

Plus the sound CANNOT be beat!

If you went with the twin xx-pipe and the twin tipped mufflers your looking at $667.00 then the labor to install everything.

If you go with our XpansionX I mufflers with tips of your choice (our OvalBlade tips arent in yet) and the twin xx-pipe then your at $547.00.

Please Vlad can I hear your reasons behind not liking something you have never owned/felt/driven.

Do you even know what the technology behind this unique set-up is or what its all about? Obviously not.

The subject matter on this board is supposed to be based on fact not opinion and conjecture. Don't listen to what you hear Vlad.

We have been doing this chassis for 6 years now, 5-7 days a week. NO ONE has us beat in the experience department with this car.

As for the straight pipes, Happy Droning! Something our systems DO NOT do.

RE: Exhaust advice needed!

Hey Geno!

Thanks for all the information, and the great soundbites :)

I really like the twin tip setup...just suits the car very well.

How much work is involved for the installation of the XX? Is it all custom piping from the cat back? Wondering if you have any estimates...my garage is very good to me and helps me out wherever they can, and they usually charge $60/h.

Thanks again and have a great evening,
Marcus.

RE: Exhaust advice needed!

It takes our exhaust Guy roughly 4 hours total which includes the flanging of the XX-Pipes.

Should be anywhere from $175.00-$250.00.

Plus its lifetime warrantied stainless steel.

RE: Exhaust advice needed!

Geno, Is there any way I could get you to do all of the piping and ship it with the exhaust in pieces, or would you need the car to be there for fitment, I would love to have an entire Stainless exhaust.

RE: Exhaust advice needed!

i have a system complete for shipping in ss and you can put a second x in it after you get it upon install.
