Were you clearing land with it?
LOL, knowing Dave, he could've been. At least he uses it as a truck. He tows with it and goes out on the dunes as well. Unlike those who buy one and it only hauls the groceries and never sees 'truck duty'.

I was up north hunting when I took that pic. I parked just off the road in a field and walked in, and when I came back out I took a few "off road" shots of the truck. That truck has seen some off-road duty, and it does quite well with some decent tires on it, as long as you know it's limitations. I've taken the truck to silver lake sand dunes, mount morris mounds ORV park, and off-roading when hunting up north. And it tows my boat in the summertime.
I am thinking of getting another mark viii around tax-return time. I'm trying to sell my POS escort as we speak, and i'll be looking for a cheap mark 8 as a second car. I've seen a couple of decent gen 2's going for $3500 on craigslist, and it looks like I can get a gen 1 with 150k on it for 1500 or less. I kind of want one with crappy paint (but no rust) so I can smooth out any small dents with bondo and paint it flat black.
