    Howdy!

Just checking in and had to say WOW! What a difference!! Great job on the website redesign! It's going take me awhile to get caught up on all the threads--without opening any old wounds, could anyone give me a "top 10" list of things that have transpired over the past year? Looking forward...

Removed front air silencer = better idle?

As the title suggests, I removed the air silencer (under the front bumper) when I replaced my air compressor. Ever since, my car has idled much smoother. Not sure if there's a cause and effect relationship there - has anyone else has experienced this? My Mark must like the extra airflow. :)

Looking for a used four door

Hi there gang, Well, the Mark's about to turn 140k. It needs a real window seal and a repaint, too, so it's been officially relegated to commuter and household use. (Did you know that you can stack six 16' 2 by 6's on top of the Mark? Pretty handy.) At any rate, I'm looking for a powerful...

Got rear ended on the interstate...

... at about 10-15 mph, thank goodness. Inattentive kid driving his Mom's Ford Windstar. He hit me dead square - license plate to license plate. The Mark suffered just one tiny scratch above the license plate pocket. I told him not to screw with the radio in stop-and-go traffic, and said that...

Name the last american car sold with real chrome bumpers

I'm thinking it was Cadillac, with the '92 Fleetwood Brougham: http://www.rrrclc.org/04Rallye%20(33).JPG I don't believe the '93-96 Fleetwoods had real chrome bumpers - did they? Can you think of any more recent makes/models?

FS: '95 Mark VIII JBL Cassette/CD radio with 10 disc changer

As the title suggests, I'm selling my old JBL factory head unit and trunk-mounted 10-disc cd changer with cartidge. (No harness.) Both worked as they should when I removed them earlier this evening. I'll throw in the carpeted changer cover if you need it, as well. I just bought an in-dash...

Horrible wreck on my daily commute

I drive past this exit every day - I missed this one by a few hours: http://easylink.playstream.com/katu/050126raw_jet2_i5_crash.wvx

'96 Fleetwood,,, '96 Roadmaster... or '97 Town Car?

The "big car" bug has bit me again, and I'm wondering if anyone has any info to share on these cars. All are the last model year of their "breeds", so to speak. I really would like a black on black vehicle with under 40k (and with cloth interior, in the case of the TC!) Finding low miles...

    245/50...235/60... or stock?

I'm looking to replace my stock Michelin MXV4+ 225/60 tires, and I'm not sure which way I want to go. I must be getting OLD, because I think I would like to move to a tire size that rides softer and quieter and has better traction than the stock Michelins. Any pros or cons for the 235/60 vs...

I love the sound of an M2 in the morning... not really

"A Beaverton man is under arrest after police seized a large cache of weapons from his home, including a fully loaded anti-aircraft weapon that was pointed out of a window at the street." "Inside Laureno's home, police found a fully loaded .50 caliber anti-aircraft weapon that was pointed right...

    Need help on basic repainting

I got tired of seeing those horrible clear-coat fade splotches on my rear A pillars, so I decided to try to do a little shadetree repainting. I cleaned the areas to be painted, wetsanded them, and then sprayed 2 coats of black and 2 coats of clearcoat. I even got the factory orange peel finish...

How many Union 76 antenna balls fit in a Chevy Trailblazer?

An awesome story - be sure to read both parts and the epilogue! (Warning - high geek content.) http://www.cockeyed.com/inside/trailblazer/trailblazer.html

    More on Black Boxes

http://www.pressherald.com/news/state/040621blackboxes.shtml "Using a $3,000 software package, he was able to recover data showing the car's speed, throttle, braking and engine RPMs." At least it's only 5 seconds worth of data...for now... :o EDIT: Check this site out for a comprehensive...

    New '99-02 Continental Wheels

Despite the mixed reviews, I decided to go with them. IMO, they *almost* make the Mark look like a current production vehicle. Old 10 spoke chrome directionals: http://home.comcast.net/~scottrickard/driverside_50.jpg New '99-02 Continental wheels...

    Well, it's official...

They finally let me out of the law school this past weekend. They even threw a little latin on the end of my degree (that's what the white drapery pulls signify). ;) I thank the good people of LOD for keeping me sane these past three years! -Scott

Attention wheel experts! Name this wheel...

    http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread/t-43727.html I don't think they're "one-offs" - someone here must recognize them?

    Photoshop request

Would someone be kind enough to 'shop the following wheel onto a Gen1 mark? (A black one would be awesome!) I found a place that sells these Continental wheels for $450/set. http://home.comcast.net/~scottrickard/wagonwheel.jpg Thanks!
