2021 Lincoln Homecoming

I thought everyone was supposed to sign up for the virtual car show, then I read this?

"/ You may register for the virtual car show only if you cannot attend the 2021 Homecoming in August. You’ll find tutorials that will guide you through the process. • How to register your car • How to update your car’s information and upload photos • How to “attend” the virtual event and view photos"

I just talked to Bob he said you can sign up for both, but I wasn't signed up for the virtual yet.

I also thought everyone was supposed to sign up for the virtual show.

"two car shows!!"

From their web page...

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Virtual Car Show. We had 47 vehicle entries! Winners of the Peoples' Choice Awards will be announced at the 8th Annual Lincoln Homecoming in Hickory Corners, Michigan on Saturday night, August 14, 2021. Winners will also be listed on this web site after the announcement.

Got the 'ol girl all polished up last night. Not my best work - the roof could use a claybar or a buff. Luckily, she shines up real nicely. Nobody will notice. :)

Fun observation - Last week, my lawn, and all of my neighbors' had died. We got a bit of rain over the weekend that seems to have perked things up considerably.

Right now, we plan to hit the road 2-3pm ish today, which will still make for a pretty late arrival. Midnight-1am local time, I suppose..

Joe, you'll need to be in peak form. :D

Great photos!

It was a great show and it was great to see everyone again. Congratulations to Mike, Joe, and Driller, for winning the awards!

Thanks again to Mike (Tixer) for letting me use his car when mine fried it's VCRM Module right there at the show. Also thanks again to Joe who offered to give me a ride home in case I couldn't ride home in the tow truck (luckily I was allowed).

The car made it back home, unfortunately, the module also took the connector out by fusing one of the terminals to a plug that was pulled out of the module. I might be able to grind it off and clean it up enough, if not, I'll have to find a new harness or at least a pigtail of the connector to fix it.

I'll post some of my regular show pictures as soon as I get caught up here at home, here's the ugly parts.

Great pictures, Driller!!

Bill! Sorry to see you're in it for a connector also. I was really hoping you'd luck out.

This was a really excellent show, and I was pleased to be a part of it. I'll have a few photos to post also, but it could be a few days before I get the chance to process them.

I really enjoy this venue. It was superb weather. The show-field cars were phenomenal. Lincolns from coast to coast come to this event (which tells you a lot right there). Not to mention the Lincoln museum itself and the other automobile museum buildings on the grounds. Such a beautiful location and an amazing collection of automotive history.

Congrats to tixer for winning best of the custom class with his beautiful 'Coyote' swapped manual Mark VIII.

Congrats to BadSax for winning the best of the 90's class with the amazing "Super CE".

Thanks all who attended the show! I hope we can make this an annual tradition! (y)

:lodrules:

Ahem.. you forgot a couple!

Congrats to driller for winning Best Custom in the online car show!

Congrats to a brand new member, Paul Georg with his flawless 2008 Lincoln Mark LT, for winning both awards in his class!
