Hello Everyone i am so excited to be here!!!!! picked up my dream car a 1990 mark7 metallic maroon with the Gold pinstripes was giving it the Fluids Brakes bushings electrical and suspension checks when i found the rear calipers Totally siezed tried to remove piston from caliper and FROZEN. Went to shop had it removed for 20 bucks and rebuild kit was waiting. I have a few questions when replacing the piston for this rear left caliper, the spindel for the e brake screw is stuck in the piston itself and the rebuild kit did not come with one. Any Ideas how to safely extract it??? Please and thank you so much for your time reading this!!!!

Unless you're rubbing nickels together, my experience is you are better off replacing the caliper as an assembly versus rebuilding one.

Trust me finding these parts are wicked hard i found the back right no problem but the back left are nowhere tried autozone, Advanced, Oreily, Napa, and Orleans auto parts and the online ones as well and to no avail. i went to a shop the other day and they said it would be cheaper to blastem and rebuild than to try and hunt them down, because who knows what the shape of the others on amazon are, they may look good but you never know

I understand, the last "pair" of calipers I bought from RockAuto were obviously not a pair. They were from different manufacturers, and had a different finish. Being "re-man" calipers, the insides were probably different as well.

Finally found a factory remanned one and scooped it up right away i'll keep the old ones just in case down the road they are totally obsolete
