i have been lurking here and there on this site as im on TCCoA and markviii.org sites. i bounce around finding all sorts of info. i had been talking with 95BLKLSC (Eric) on his setup on his 95 and ended up getting mine all redone. originally i had just the stock 3 cats and really liked it for the cost vs sound but got bored of it. sooooo 2 xpipes and only $250 later i got this:

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1995-mark-8-exhaust-2_649275.htm

its stock 2 cats then 2 x pipes where 3rd cat and resonator was then straight pipes all 2.5" piping.

suprisingly at 65mph with just 3 cats made more drone than with the new setup. im happy with it, it screams when provoked. only thing i may do to kick down the raspy part of it would be some dynomax bullets in the back.

that must be obnoxious lol hopefully this weekend ill be putting some tips on as it is just the bare 2.5" pipe out the back ill throw some pics up when i get everything the way i like it

What the heck are those windy things in the back, inside of the wheels?? ;)

I think if it were me, I would also put the bullets in, too. IMHO, the loud snarly raspiness is appropriate for a Mustang...notsomuch a stealthy Lincoln. But still....I rate it "Wicked Awesome." :)

thanks for the comments guys. yea when i get the money up i might throw the bullets in. car mods are not on my proprity list right now due to money...or lack there-of lol

Was this done at Lou's?

no it was done at Unique Custom Exhaust in Burlington,MA. Anthony(who ownes the shop) used to work at a Loue's chain for almost 10 years and didnt like how things went with them but he had customers that would come there just for his work. so he ended up leaving and starting his own shop. he takes his time to make sure its done right the first time. done for $250 i supplied the xpipes and did the tip setup myself later

if anyone is interested

smitty, the first part of that video, all you have done is removed the mufflers and resonator? Is that correct? cause its sounds good just like that

well for an intake i was going this route...:)

i dont know for sure if it will make any gains or hurt me. im worried about how the MAF will be setup and if it will be able to read air correctly, but its one of those things i wont know until i put it together and run it. im sure i will be able to pull in plenty of air becasue the filer im using is a stock paper filter size. and since its close to the TB i doubt to have any problems. reading the air is a diff story.

Hmm, not my cup of tea to cut open the hood of a street Mark, but that's just me. Unless, of course, you're slapping on a Whipple or KB, of course, as with Roadboss' raised hood, for instance... :D Why not a conical filter with an "icebox" or such? I can imagine you running in winter (as silly as that sounds ;)) or even heavy rain and your scoop just drawing in too much moisture, know what I mean?

Regardless, I'm interested to see how your project turns out! :)

Heck, I'm just glad to see another car with the trunk brace, IRS subframe and gas tank sheild as rusty as mine. :p

Nice work on the exhaust except the clamp on tips.

At the very least, you will need a custom tune to get the MAF readings correct.

I'm sorry, but I think it looks like crap and will look worse when done. The height is going to be a huge distraction.
