97 wheel bearing and hub

Hi all,

My driver side rear wheel bearing sounded like it was going, which the mechanic confirmed, but it looks like the rear hub got a bit beat up and needs replacing.

When I thought it was a "wheel bearing" I was quoted: $400.00 from Pep Boys and 291.00 by a local shop. Now I'm confused and hope someone can answer a few questions:

Does the "new" hub come with the wheel bearing attached or is this a separate part?

Also, what does the book call for in labor/hours when replacing the hub/&rear wheel bearing?

My mechanic said the "hub" was difficult to locate. They finally found a (mopar) hub for $123.00 dollars and it's being shipped here to Vegas." (Does this sound right, 'cause I think I found it online for half that amount?)

And lastly, is there anyway to tell "where" a part was made? I was told to stay away from Chinese made parts, so I was just wondering.

Hope this all made sense. (I'm dealing with acute sleep deprivation, so I hope I'm making sense.)

Thanks ever so. Cheers! Shelby
