So on my 98 I want to change the fuel pump. When I did the transmission and had to drop the fuel tank so I went ahead and got a look at the pump to see if it was the same as my 95. It has the plastic canister. I want to upgrade the pump to 255. will the canister come apart to insert an aftermarket 255, do I have to get a direct replacement, any specific brands to uses or stay away from? I have changed fuel pumps on 89,95 mustangs and my 95 mark VIII (pretty much the same setups) i know it takes a miner modification. With the plastic canister I don't want to get stranded once I start the change.
