Art Brown passed away today a little after 3:00 pm. His wife Ginger called this morning and told me he had taken a turn for the worse recently. She had agreed to place him on a respirator briefly, but after consulting with his doctors, family and friends today she decided to turn off the respirator. He died shortly thereafter.
For those who don't know, Art was an avid club supporter and active poster until he began having back problems in April 2003. The cause of his back pain turned out to be cancer. Since then he has undergone major surgery and continual chemo treatments. The last time I spoke with him he still had a positive outlook despite the doctors' dire predictions.
Ginger said that even though Art hasn't posted in a while, he still enjoyed checking in when he could. She also said the support from LOD members was wonderful, especially Trixie. Ginger hopes to post soon, but she thinks the cats have messed up the computer.
Ginger said there would not be any service in accordance with Art's wishes.
