My car has finally suffered the dreaded burnt cooling fan connector. I picked up some replacements pig tails at the J-yard. Does anyone have any recommendations on a preferred splicing method?

+1 Those butt connectors with the built in heat shrink are the bomb.

only way to beat that is solder and heat shrink, but who has the time for that except maybe Bill and myself. :)

The secret is sourcing high quality butt connectors and a professional set of compound crimping pliers, not the stuff you find at most auto parts stores.

I never knew that "crimper envy" was a thing. :D I still use the one built into my multi-tool. "The best crimper you have, is the one you have on you."

Always liked the solder sleeve, kind of a butt splice/solder/shrink tube all in one.
