The wife's Continental is starting to snort refrigerant. Last month it only took a hit a month. This month, I'm doing a hit every week. Now I'm having to give it one every two days.

Unfortunately, I can smell PAG oil when the AC blows. That means there is a leak in the evaporator. That means the steering wheel and dash board has to be removed to get to the damn thing.

If I do this, I just may R&R both the evaporator and the heater core, even though it ain't leaking -- yet.

But then again, it will take me a long time to do this part time at night and weekends. Maybe SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED will blow me off and take it to a dealer. There's at least 6 to 7 hours of labor at a dealer. What? 600 to 900 bucks only in labor?

We'll talk about it tonight.

Hee hee. So what's the plan? Dealer? I imagine She Who Must Be Obeyed is used to the magic fix it words, but this could be over the top.

She had to make a decision: I could do it part time. Maybe take me a month of weekends. Or the dealer could do it in two days, Plus $1234.26.

She bit the bullet and ended up spending the money.

All fixed.

The glove compartment door fell all the way to the floor when she flipped the latch, yesterday.

The dealer's technician forgot to install the door cable to the dash pot.

<sigh> I fixed it.
