extending 02 sensor leads

Your thread was the only one I could find with pics of a home extended O2 sensor. Did you end up covering the extension wires for heat protection?

Yeah I tried to include pictures for every part of the process. I wrapped real tight with electrical tape and a heat wrap type Kevlar tape.

You mean like header tape? I was trying to think about what could be used.

Yeah...couldn't think of the name, hah. I had some for my starter.

I bought two brand new Ford sensors from a guy on eBay (sutherbys) for $20 each. They were the ones with the long leads. You may want to see if he has any more, great deal
