Fog Lamp Idea!!!

Ok, I've had an idea, and would like opinions. In looking at some newer custom body kits, and the Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, I thought about something. First off, everybody mounts thier fogs behind the grill, which is ok, but, what if I were to get a 4" hole saw, some 4" subwoofer ports and 4" Fog Lamps, stay with me. On the first gen, the front bumper is somewhat flat in spots, so what if, about 5 inches away from the licence plate on both sides, I used a hole saw to cut the bumper out, and sanded down the subwoofer trim rings, painted them body color, epoxied them to the bumper, and mounted the round fog lamps behind the trim rings? I think it would look striking!!!! And very different to what everybody else does to the fogs. I'm going to pull off the front bumper this week to look at the logistics.... But let me know what you gusy think!

If you've never had the bumper off, you'll soon see the logistics involved. No saying it's impossible, but the inner bumper and foam filler will be an obstacle to overcome.

There was one pic of a modded bumper assembly with Pontiac style foglite openings grafted in the lower valance area which didn't look bad IMHO.

Yeah, I thought about that, but if I have to cut a little foam, that's no big deal. I did see the black 2nd gen with the grafted fog pontiac bumper, I'm not that serious about it, plus, I'm not that great with the fiberglassing yet! But aside from that all, you think it would look ok?

You may want to take a pic of your car and photoshop some lights of your choice. Remember foglights need to be as low as possible. Having said that, the factory fog lights on my F250 are probably as high as the midline of the Mark VIII.

I'm not the greatest at photoshopping.. But I have thought about it, and I definately would want to see how that would look before cutting 4" holes in my bumper. Do you know anybody on here that would be able to do that for me? They are the Hella/ Optillux 4" fog lamps with the "angle eyes" in them, don't plan to use the angel eyes, but I trust Hella.
