Freeze Plug issue

Hey guys its been a while since ive been here...my 84 was running great till i popped out the freeze plug... i was wonder who knows the best way to replace the freeze plug thats on the passengers side under the motor mount bracket... i unbolted the mounts and tried to lift the motor a lil bit to take the bracket off but something is holding the motor down and i cant find out what... any ideas...

If you unbolted both the BIG motor mount nuts the engine should lift up. If you try to unbolt the bolts that hold the bracket to the block it might bind up. The best way to get the freeze plug out, when you can get to it, is to take a punch or screw driver and hit one side of the plug in. This will cause the other side to pop out and than you can pry it out. When installing the new one, just make sure you tap it in straight, and not too hard.

Freeze plugs are pretty simple to change, but while the engine is in the car, it becomes a pain in the butt, and most of the time, its the hardest one to get to, hah.
