Fun at the beach

Sunday was the annual LI GTO Club car show, open to all American cars, held at Crab Meadow Beach in Northport, NY, right on the LI Sound.

I brought the El Camino along with my regular "car show buddies" and Alexander came with his 59 T-Bird, we all parked together as a group so it was a very pleasant day at the show. Awards were given for the best cars in their respective classes, no 1st, 2nd, 3rd per se, just equal trophies to the very best as chosen by the judges.

Here's Alexander and Julie beaming over their well deserved Best in Class trophy. Also here are some pictures of the show http://dftowel.com/carshows/northport052007

Thanks for the compliments.

It was a fun show. My wife, Julie, actually enjoyed the show. She is also coming along to All-Ford Carlisle. I hope she enjoys that too.

Congradulations Leo and Alexander.

Alexander, will we be seeing your Square Bird at Carlisle?

Gongrats leo :D

I was checking out your website and I noticed in the little thumbnail picture that there is/was a car behind the "Moose" that has a lambo door kit. Possible a Saleen Mustang or something? When I get to the big picture, its cropped out.

Where did you see it? Which page (url) cause I don't see at what show it would have been since I rarely show Moose anymore. There are a couple of Mustangs with Lambo doors that I see regularly at the shows, don't like 'em very much actually.

The main DFtowel site....down about halfway it says "The Moose if for sale" and has a picture with a white car with Lambo doors in the background.

Congratulations Leo and Alexander.

I will be bringing the CE to Carlisle.

The last big trip I took with the Squarebird was in 2002 when I took it to Watkins Glen. I even took it on the track there. In 2001 I took it to Dearborn for the launch of the 2002 Thunderbird - 1500 mile round trip with no problems. I used the factory A/C in all situations except when stuck in traffic.
