Header Question and H pipes?

im looking at a Summitt catalog in my lap in mustang exaust section. I want to know if the BBK long tubes will fit. My choices are 1996-98 part number# BBK-15320. Also will the BBK-1535 H-pipe fit to match the headers? We had the car up on the lift yesterday at the muffler shop to see what was workable, and i cant even see the damn manifolds to see if the have the bolt in "cup" design or are welded? (the stock cats look welded to manifolds) its so tight up there i couldnt tell even with a flashlight. Also when i look at the pics in summit, it looks as though one side goes up farther than the other. Is our stock manifolds different lengths like the mustangs?
If they CAN be unbolted, what year mustang H-pipe setup will fit stock manifolds? Ill just cut off my x-pipe and use the whole h pipe setup from BBK.
Hell ....now that im looking down the page, there is a bbk part # BBK-1582 1996-98 4.6LITRE COBRA with convertors already installed ahead of H pipe. Mannnn, guys im lost....I dont wanna get the wrong ones. Will this last set i mentioned bolt up to a 1995 Mark STOCK manifolds? I only have 2 O2 sensors directly under the manifolds. If so, ill just run with this for now and worry about the headers when i get a real engine in a while...Jeff S

RE: Header Question and H pipes?

The BBK headers will NOT fit on this car. No prefab headers fit this car.

They have to be custom made from existing cobra headers, like the ones you mention.

Chris(unstoppable) at LMS West is the only one at this point that has custome made long-tube headers for this car. Dan (blkmk8) is supposed to have them soon.

Also, you'll want to an X-pipe for this car over an H-pipe. Geno did testing on both and the X yielded better results.

ps - You can do a search on the 'other' Mark VIII board to find the answers to some of your questions. Am I allowed to mention the 'other' board here? ;-) I still don't even understand why there are 2 boards?!
