I missed last year due to scheduling issues with some home renovations, but I hope to make up for it this year.
This year promises to be a memorable one as the route will be along America's most iconic highway, US Route 66, celebrating "100 years of Route 66" from Joliet, IL to Tulsa, OK.
Some of my Power Tour statistics...
This year will be my 13th year attending since my first trip on the Hot Rod Power Tour starting back in 2007.
Six of those I've made as a "Long Hauler" which means from start to finish. Pre-pandemic, it was "7 cities in 7 days". Now it is a shorter schedule with five stops.
I've done the Long Haul in 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
I've done four consecutive years twice, once from 2009 to 2012 and last from 2021 to 2024.
I've driven five different cars on the Power Tour; the 1993 'Blue Flame' Mark VIII, the 1996 Opal Opalescent Mark VIII, my previous 1998 Terminator-swapped CE Mark VIII, a 2018 Mustang Shelby GT-350 and most recently my 1993 Kenne Bell Supercharged Mark VIII.
