Jerry 'HOTLNC' Heep

I just learned of the passing of one of our long time charter members, Jerry Heep, AKA 'HOTLNC'.

"Jerry Joseph Heep was born in San Antonio, Texas, on 7/30/48 and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 78 at home in Weatherford, Texas on 8/27/26, when his great heart gave up. He was hale and hearty to the end and that’s how he wanted to go. He loved making people laugh at his quick-witted jokes. He was kind and gentle to everyone and took care of his family and friends. He rescued us too many times to count."

His longstanding official position in the club as Secretary is a testament to his dedication to the Lincolns of Distinction. As a charter member, he has been around since as long as I remember.

We will miss Jerry. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends.

RIP 'HOTLNC'.

Quite a surprise. All of my interactions with Jerry have been overwhelmingly positive. I regret never having had the chance to meet him in person, and appreciate all that he did as club secretary.

He will be missed.

Oh wow, not sure why but was thinking about him the other day when thinking about the car clubs I was a part of. Only met him once at the first Ford Carlisle I went to, he took everyone's photo then captions their name. Then like clock work he would send out the membership renewal and LOD decal.

Wow! That's a shock. Jerry and I worked together when I was treasurer. Jerry was great at detail and I respected the job he did. Jerry put together a spreadsheet of charter members which I still have. So many members are no longer with us. It's sad and I miss them all. Made great friends here and still talk with many of them. The time has passed so quickly.
