so today I ordered kooks midlenght headers.. also 2 high flow cats, the flanges for the headers and o2 wire extensioners. total came out to $1025. I'll be doing all the installation starting in a few weeks.

RE: just ordered kooks headers

i'm jealous!!! Did you get the jet coat? You should do a baseline dyno run then one after getting them installed. I'd love to see a before and after dyno comparison. Are you installing them yourself?

RE: just ordered kooks headers

yea i ordered the jet coat and no can do on the base dyno.. engine is dead and since I am swapping the engine out I am also putting in headers on. no way to get to a lift so its out the top pita, so yea not doing it twice. and yes I am going too do this myself. I figure its gonna take 2-3 weeks cause I work at nights

RE: just ordered kooks headers

Let us know how it works out, especially what it sounds like. I will be ordering some in about a week so that I can have them on by my dyno tune in the beginning of May.

RE: just ordered kooks headers

You don't need a lift to take it out the bottom. Just get some jumbo jackstands.

ok so I just recieved these today.. figured I should show em off. I have a question.. I know the holes for the o2 sensors, and the egr on the drivers side.. but what is the fitting for on the pass side? my guess would be the pump that goes on the front of the engine, fo rthe exhaust. I want to remove that, its already deleted in the chip, so can I just cap it off?

yes they're midlengths, and supercoupeperformance is the only source.

Those are beautiful!

so yea I've had them for over a week now and just noticed they didn't put the egr fitting on. at first I thought one of the fittings was for the smog pump and the other was for the egr.. but I just found out today that the smog pump uses both.. so no outlet for the egr. I'm going to bring them to kooks next week to get fixed but I am debating on the coating. they said the area where they will scrape the coating away is like the size of a quarter, and to probally just spay-paint it with high temp paint instead of re-coating them. however I am not sure about idea only for the simple fact that I paid all that money to get the right and I don't wanna have to sacrifice the quality of the product because they messed up. I'm not trying to be anal some might say causes its such a small area.
