Kracker 98-94 Transmission swap

Overall, pretty good! :)

You needn't use RTV on the pan gasket however. ;)

So, how did it go and what was the results?

Went really good, I am just one for overkill so i use the permatex. the tranny works great. thanks for the tips. The 1-2 is slugish or really soft so i will be doing a jmod. i am concerened about the tsb sticker that was on the pan the cast was a 97 but it said to void after jan 31, 1998. and the car was built after that. i wish i had a list of the serial numbers of the trannies that did not have it in late 97 early 98. the TSB was for a transmission cooling line leak any have a clue

I don't know anything about the TSB but glad to hear all went well. ;)

Plan for a J-mod party soon and refresh the Mercon V at the time and you should be set! :D

Cool write up, who made the page?

I finally got time to sit down and read through the article. I think you forgot a couple of steps.
1. Make sure you have kitty litter ;) for spills and 2. Make sure your wife is home to run to Taco Bell for dinner time for the slaves. Cool write up. Damn I'm good at cleaning the pan out...hahah I can eat out of that thing. :D
Shhhhiiiinnnyyyy....lol

Glad to hear it's doing fine. We got the Walbro fuel pump in Marvins car all set. Now I just have to make him a harness like mine so he can run the COP setup in his mark as well.
