As Lincoln gets ready to roll out its reinvention, starting with the introduction of the all-new MKZ and MKZ Hybrid, we are pleased to present seven cars from our past on the first press day of Los Angeles Auto Show, each one chosen for its historical significance. We thank the owners for sharing their cars with us for this special one-day exhibition. Since 1922, the year Edsel Ford signed the agreement purchasing the Lincoln Motor Company from its founder Henry Leland, the hallmark of Lincoln has been its elegant simplicity. For Edsel, the key to revitalizing Lincoln was styling. His vision for design was for every line, contour, and angle to have intent. The pure sensitivity of a line is at the heart of Lincoln’s heritage – carried into the present moment of Lincoln’s reinvention. We will showcase the all-new 2013 MKZ premium midsize sedan and MKZ Hybrid, representing the future of Lincoln, on Thursday, November 29.
