I haven't been around the forum for a while but have checked in here and there to see what's happening.

I've finally decided to sell my Mark VIII. I was secretly hoping to breathe new life into it as I still love the car but it's just sitting in my garage so that's not fun for either of us. My 4 year old does enjoy it anytime he get's to sit in it so he's going to be heart broken when I sell it.

Here are the details:

1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC
Black on Black
159,000 miles

I've owned this car since 2001 and always garage kept; I last regularly drove it in 2015. I've performed regular oil changes and when parts needed replacing, went with the OEM version or equal quality alternative if OEM not available. Always handled repairs as if keeping this car forever and ever, no patch jobs to get by.

Medium tint on windows (doors, sides and rear), was replaced in 2012 as tint started looking purple.

Upgraded audio:
Pioneer x930 BT headunit (has navigation built in and can stream bluetooth audio from phone) with subwoofers/amps in trunk and component speakers in the doors.
Subwoofers: 10" Boston Acostics
Amps: JL Audio
Component system: MA Audio
Rear speakers: Diamond Audio

Wheels:
Chrome Saleen Replicas (18") with 245 45 R18 (tires will need to be replaced soon)
Stock rims with Bridgestone Blizzaks for winter use, about 80% treadlife left.

A/C works, heater works (blend door reinforce done in 2006), cup holder and ash tray door work. Driver side mirror still fine, Neon works (though I have seen it flicker a few times) and HIDs are good.
Replaced front struts with clean used ones in 2009. Rear has cobra Bilstein shocks and upgraded shock mounts. Car remains up even after months of not turning on; air compressor works well too.
New Starter October 2014
New Battery Jan 2015 - on Battery tender since and starts up strong.

Brakes need work, probably need to be bled as the fluid is dark and pedal stiff.
Driver's side power seat stopped working (seat tracks/motor replacement needed?).

Rust along passenger rocker and in front of rear wheels on passenger and driver side.
Paint shines well though.

Car has been in two minor accidents. First one caused damage to the driver's side front. Headlight was replaced, front bumper and front fender repainted. Front suspension work was also done so car drove well and straight after. Second accident was to driver side quarter panel resulting in a dent and some scratches. Dent repaired, quarter panel and rear bumper repainted.

Has not been regularly driven since 2015 as it failed the newer Illinois emissions test for the metro Chicago area. Runs well though, engine is strong.
Failed Illinois emissions test due to O2 sensor not responding using new IL testing; a sensors not responding is an automatic fail in IL. Previous to the change in testing, car easily passed emissions using the tailpipe wand. Had Rod Baker Ford in Plainfield look into it, they replaced O2 sensors, etc, but that didn't resolve it. They suggested a possible problem with a wire to the sensor which they would have to trace but I declined to get it done at the time. With young kids, I also needed a more "practical" car so I put it in the garage waiting to get back to it.

Let me know if you have any questions or are interested.
email (remove spaces of course) mxzamudio @ gmail . com

Will not part out, take whole.
No online buyers.

Thanks, Manny

Manny! I miss you! I hope you are well. Gotta run right now, would love to catch up with you. I don't know if I can keep my car much longer, not sure when I'm due for emissions again, but have codes. Lots has happened since I saw you last. Would love to see your car again, and you and 4 years old! Time flies!

Definitely!
It's been a very long time; it was always fun gathering with the old Chicago/Midwest crew. I gotta look for those pictures!
