I was driving my Audi to Atlanta last Friday and my oil light came on and huge plumes of white smoke started coming out the back. I pulled off the dide of the interstate and called AAA to have my car towed back to Birmingham to the dealership to be checked out. At least I had AAA and the tow was free.
I received a call from the dealership yesterday and they told me both turbo's were shot and would have to be replaced at a cost of $6000. This seems kind of steep to me so I'm not going to have it repaired. I don't know what this means for my car is it now junk? I looked at turbo's on the internet and they run from $1000 - $2000 for the pair so is there that much labor involved? How involved are putting turbo's on?
