Pinkin 1986 Lincoln Mark Vii Factory Painted Shell Pink

I have saved the day; circled the calender; begged the Son to join us; and plan to be there. I have no idea HOW I'll feel seeing the old gal. I'll bring "Towniee" so that they can both meet one & other. Towniee has 10,000 miles, and of course is mint. Sept 15th @ 9AM. Bring a camera. I lost 31 pounds, since 1-1-'07, so I am no longer camera shy. I have 9 more to go to hit target > waist size at college grad, "only" 38 years ago.
(What if she wants to go home with me ?) Ha, 'ya know we were quite intimate & all.............

SANDY and PINKIN Reunion!

SANDY and PINKIN Reunion!

THE SANDY and PINKIN Reunion!
Wow! After selling his one of a kind pink 1986 Lincoln Mark VII in 1991, Sandy block has continued to collect cars. In December of 2006 he learned that PINKIN had been bought by a local (Pennsylvania) collector. Nine months later, on September 15, 2007, Sandy was reunited with his long lost Lincoln. During a regularly scheduled Breakfast Cruise to the Old Country buffet in Edison, NJ, six vehicles and nine participants gathered for another Saturday get together. Later, there was an emotional moment as Sandy remembered his late Father and the reason why he special ordered PINKIN in the first place. It was a gift to fulfill a long time dream. Thank you Sandy. Your Father and the Lincoln community, appreciates your purchase.

In attendance was:
Karen Block 2001 Jeep Silver
Sanford "Sandy" Block 2001 Jeep Silver
Rob "EightLives" Brossman 1989 Lincoln Mark VII LSC Midnight Current Red
Jack "HizHonor" Cohen 1991 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE Ebony Black
Adam "ADD" Dancy 1986 Lincoln Mark VII Shell Pink
John "OldSchool1" Dancy 1986 Lincoln Mark VII Shell Pink
Jerry "2ManyMarks" Monahan 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE Dark Titanium (for sale)

I don't know how i missed this post, but wow what a great story! I've been hearing about pinkin for over 7 years now, it's awesome to see them reunited!

Yes! It was SOME reunion!

Yes! It was SOME reunion!

Yes! It was SOME reunion!

Sandford Block is one of the coolest Dudes you'll ever meet. A real class act. Since the Breakfast Cruise, Sandy has sent me a hand full of photos from 1986 and 1987 and even a copy of the original window sticker.

Again ... a real class act.

Hi

Hi

I know I've been "off" for a long time. Been busy. Yes, the McLarens are all fine! In storage. Blue 'Vert has 2,050 miles (1990) and the Silver Anniversary 'Vert has 7,350 and the 1986 Coupe is STILL with 688 miles.

Our Son, Matt earned his CPA and is now applying to Universities in New York City, to enter Law School. Elected Treasurer of his EMT unit, and has been certified as a high speed trained ambulance driver. Still plays the trumpet, but not much.

The deal on the sale of the 2003 Town Car fell thru - but, I have another buyer. I am not yet selling her, and he is willing to wait. Probably in early April.
There is no 2008 Town Car, so, I dout very much that I will get another Lincoln. I had a private showing of the forth coming MKS. It's okay, but its MKZ roots show thru (at least to me). I like the Buick Lucerne CXS with the Caddy Northstar, fully loaded with every gizmo (of course :) ) and I like the Dodge Charger SRT-8 6.1 Hemi (over)LOADED with toyzz. The practical side of the brain says Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L to replace the '01 Cherokee, that now has NO AIR CONDITIONING ($3,000 "fix) Needs a new evaporator. So.... we'll see.

I wanna wish you all a Merry Christmas, I hope my brothers had a nice and healthy Chanukkah and my other brothers do likewise with Kwanzaa, and that everyone has a safe and truly wonderful New Year !

I turned 61 on December 13th. I am old. Old is no longer on TV ! They sell us motorized wheel chairs. That's all we are good for. CRAP I NEED A HEMI

Bye!

Sandy

Nice hearing from you once in a while, and happy holidays. Also great hearing about Matt.

As far as the MKS, it will be built on the Ford D3 platform (2008 Taurus) which is similar to Volvo's P2 platform. The MKZ/Fusion has Mazda 6 underpinnings.

Happy B-day Sandy. You ain't old yet!! I got ya beat by 8 YEARS!! I retired this year (Jan) and still have my Silver '97. I did pick me up a new (at the time) 05 F250 diesel to replace the aging '92. Took a cross-country trip this past summer in it dragging the 30' fifth wheel with 2 of the grandsons! We had a ball! Take care!

Happy belated birthday! :D

I can't hardly imagine going from a Town Car to any of the current Lincoln offerings. Good luck! ;)

It's so good to read these posts from you, Sandy! Happy belated birthday, and continued good health!!
