RE: Rear Shock Pn#'s

Monroe Sensi-trac, dual action, anti-dive shock. P/N: 5965 (92-97 V8 T-Bird, (non SuperCoupe)). About $25 each (get anywhere), get new lincoln shock mounts at about $27-30 each(Bluecollar,FPN,dealer, etc.)

Perform install and "mod" below:

Look here for install photos:

The only "mod" is to use the shock's included nut. The threaded top is a smaller diameter(for t-bird) than stock lincoln. Ignore the rubber t-bird mounts included with shocks, they are already incorporated in the new lincoln shock mounts. You get new mount nuts and bottom bolt with the new mounts. Ignore the new lincoln nut for the shock's threaded top, it is too big for the T-bird shock. Do keep the lincoln washer, The t-bird washer is too big to fit thru the hole in the fender well. Be sure to put mount onto the shock before installing on car, much easier to do outside car than in. It is easier to get at the interior shock top by removing the rear seat(pull up bottom, comes right out; two bolts on seat back, comes right out. The upper shock mount bolts are right behind the seat back), unless you are very small and can fit in the trunk.
