Replace the throttle position sensor because of early shifting?

Has anyone done this? My 94 shifts gears too early causing shuddering. If I drive aggressively it shifts fine. I read that the TPS can cause this.

I've always thought the shift points were too early on my Mark VIIIs, especially so at low throttle.

I've not heard of a specific TPS issue causing this but I suppose it could. I've done extensive shift point calibrations when tuning my modified '96 and I know there are several factors that influence shift points. I don't recall a specific table for TPS values but I do know there are several different set points for each of the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 shift points. But it's not as simple as setting the "XXX" rpm shift points to "YYY" rpms at "ZZZ" TPS.
