Valve Adjustment??

I'm pretty new to the mark viii world and I'm really thankful for the help I've received from you all so far. I have a 95 mark viii engine and trans in my 67 f100 truck. The engines previous maintenance is unknown to me but I've tried taking care of it since I've owned it. My question is.. Are the valves adjustable? I have zero noise but after revs I hear a valve tap on the passengers side for about 3 or so seconds. It goes away though. I don't know if it's oil starved or a loose valve or?? If it's something I can adjust easily then I'd tackle it. Any help is really appreciated!

The valve followers/lifters are hydraulic and require no adjustment. The recommended oil is 0w 30 are you using that? it needs the 0w to help the followers fill when cold. the w in the oil viscosity actually stands for winter as it's thinner. Later Ford changed the requirement to 0w 20, but I still use 0w 30.

Great info. I'm not at my truck now but I'm sure I used whichever oil was recommended on the cap. I know I used synthetic oil but not certain at the moment if it's viscosity. I'm going to change the oil before I run the truck this summer so I'll use 0w30 synthetic for sure!
