The complaint I would imagine is a result of

Doobage, Jonny, lots of doobage my friend. Valium is for pussies.

Now since the complaint came without much for specific details we’re left to look at the statement for what it is and what it is, is suggesting and condoning of what in most jurisdictions an illegal activity. Nobody within the LOD administration is about to try to tell anyone how they should live their lives, that is a freedom of choice we all enjoy, however in the best interest of this facility and the club itself we can not be seen as supporting or condoning what is by definition an illegal activity.

Again this is not a matter of LOD admin taking sides ether way on the doobage topic, it is however a matter of our concern when by definition of the law, providing a venue for the discussion of an illegal activity which could under the wrong circumstances cause the club, this site included certain headaches none of us really want to have to deal with.

I hear ya Dave. The comment was not meant to condone anything. It was written in jest. A be cool, I'm cool kind of thing. I don't know too many people who act like hotheads when they are high. They seem to chill. That was the intended purpose of the comment. You chill and I'll chill. Unlike our former President, I can admit to having partaked in a prior life. Who hasn't?, except for a very few.

For clarification before everyone, I don't condone an (supposed) illegal activity, but I certainly don't care if you do. Right now we are in the process of seeing a legal product, cigarettes, be made illegal. In fact, smoker's are being prosecuted everywhere now for participating in a "legal" activity.

I figured the commotion was more about the 'p' word I used. I should have used wussies or something like that.

Anyway, I ask fellow members to simply send an email to me stating your position and we can "talk" about it. I'm a pretty reasonable guy, so if you have a good point, I will respect it and your wishes.

This going to the mods is like running to mommy. Or like a neighbor who can't walk over to your house and talk about something that is bothering them, they run to the police first.

Dear Thought Police, I have been officially reprimanded by the LOD and they do not condone such language or insinuations. Regards,

I thought the comments were very light-hearted, 'just for fun' remarks. Maybe now it is easier to see that perspective. It is very easy to take things the wrong way on the net. No harm done IMHO.

Am I allowed to talk about "doobage" since by definition it is not illegal here?? I mean seriously..people complained about that? Do they also complain about my Avatar beacuse it is "suggestive"? Oh well..thankfully some people thought the banter was lighthearted....

I did hear from the person that pressed the "alert" button. The alert was really in regards to somebody's (not naming names, chuckle, chuckle) valium comment directed towards me. The Rules of Conduct state that there should be no personal attacks on the LOD. I didn't consider it a personal attack and responded with light-hearted banter.

I was very grateful to hear from that individual. It showed a lot of class and I respect their comments and concerns. That, in my opinion, is the way things should be handled around here. Everybody here is great and I can't see people seriously getting in other people's faces over anything really. I mean life is too short, enjoy every day. I do.
