The Electric came on and off here in work, I called home and same thing. They say it the canucks started it.

Well, power at the house is back on, was only gone for 2 minutes 3 or 4 times. Power at my store is still out.

My site in the city is on Generator power which should be good for another 8 hours before it switches over to battery backup which will be good for another 2. I took off today so the unlucky guys who work for me will have a fun job with the servers and systems there tonight if it looks like we need to power them down. (if the power outage outlasts our gen and batteries that is)

Yep..I was affected by it. CNN and our locals news report it was a fire in New York state that started it all. Stupid, incompetent Americans...sigh.. :) LOL!~~~~

Here in New Jersey we went out at 4:14 afternoon and did not come back on until 10:46PM. Hot & sweaty & VERY dark!!

I have been out since 7:30 last night and it is still out. I am in work now, and I was looking forwarded to getting here as well.

dam... on the radio last night they said 99% of the new jerseyians had power... you got screwed steve!

Power went out here at about 4:20PM and didn’t come back on until 11:30AM today.

Last report I heard was it was all caused by some little spark somewhere around Syracuse.

Just playing catchup now, caffeine deprived so don’t bug me. ;-)

we keep hearing that the spark was on the canuck side of stuff.... i really couldnt care less as long as it never happens again... in 9 second 50 million lose power... im sure a few people got some nice ideas how to screw us now

I don't know Steve, but we were told that Bloomfield was the LAST town in Essex county (23 towns) to be restored with power, and that was at 10:45 PM. Why did it take Kearney so long? You're just over the boundry....
