Hi everyone, I need to replace the entire mirror housing on my 93 MKVIII. It appears I need to remove the triangular piece of plastic that covers the mounting screws. Any suggestions how I can remove this so I don't break it into a million pieces?

The row of buttons under the clock on my 93 MK VIII ( the ones that display system check, fuel consumption, compass, etc.) don't always work. I have to keep pressing them until I get a response. Could this be due to oxidation or corrosion on the contacts?

I've been having a problem with the slide pins in the caliper carrier rusting and having to machine them out. I've removed them, bought new slide pins and rubber boots and applied never-seize to the pins and they still rust in place. Any suggestions?

The liquid in the outside mirror on the driver side has leaked out and the mirror is all fogged up. Anyone know how to remove it? Do I have to remove the rubber seal around the edge of the mirror or do I just pry it out of the housing and disconnect any wiring?

I need to replace the lower ball joints on my Mark VIII. Am I better off buying the complete lower control arm which comes with the ball joint installed or just purchasing the ball joint and having it pressed in? Are the bushings in the middle and end of the control arm replaceable also?
