0-60 Times

I heard a commercial last night for the LS that said it went from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Sounds quite quick. What is typical for a STOCK Mark VIII?

I can garuntee a stock LS does NOT do 0-60 in 4.2. Corvettes don't average 4.2. Stock marks can be as low as 6.5, maybe lower depending on your definintion of stock. Joe (ponyfreak) with only a mass air and ported intake was pulling 5.8's with bad traction.

it should be around 7 seconds... high 6 or low 7... Ls doesn't go 0-60 in 4.2... i think it was around 6.7 according to C&D... and 15.1 @ 94 mph 1/4 mile... in comparison the 93 mark 8 got 6.8 0-60 and 15.3 @ 94 at a 1992 C&D test.

Edmunds.com rates the '98 Mark VIII 0-60 as 7.2 seconds and the LSC as 7.1 seconds. Not bad for a 3900lb car, but not particularly blazing either.

the LS V8 does 0-60 in 6.42 seconds according to lincoln's official web site.

best I can muster up is a 4.8X. That is with a lot of mods and an 80 shot of nitrous.

dang... maybe I have a factory freak or something. I ran a 14.9 bone stock on bald tires w/ a crappy RT in my 93
