10 CD Changer

My '93 Mark VIII was totaled on Dec 1 by some guy who blew a stop sign and spun me around 180 degrees. I have since then found and purchased a '97 Mark VIII LSC Toreador Red w/90,000 miles. Great car! The individual put an alpine cd changer in the trunk. It's not hooked up to the radio in the cabin. There is a controller that you have to use to change disks and selections. For those of you who have the 10 cd changers in their trunks, can you give me the model number that is on the face of the changer. I believe the changer itself was a Sony. I have the 10 cd magazine from the '93 and it has a Ford part number, of E9LF-18C833-AA. Don't ask me why I didn't take the changer out of my '93 before the insurance company towed it away. I guess I didn't want to be accused of stealing from them. Anyway, I'm not having any luck finding one to replace the alpine. I like the idea of pushing a button and changing the disc or selection right in front of me instead of having to reach for the controller, look down for the little buttons and push them to change things. If any one can help me with the numbers or has one for sale, I would very much appreciated it. By the way, the plug in the trunk that connects to the changer is there ready to be hooked up.
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year!

RE: 10 CD Changer

Hi,

I would consider selling mine. I looked for the numbers, but I don't see them on the front. I guess I might need to pull it out of the car?

Ok, I pulled it out. The part number IS on the back. F7LF-18C830-AA
I installed my own MP3 player, so I don't need it. Check your private messages.
