10. Driving on the left side of the road is bad
9. Driving on the right side of the car is worse (stick shift on the left with a normal peddal configuration...seriously...)
8. Rum Swizzles are good
7. You can get severely wasted off of fruity beach drinks with lots of rum in them (see above...)
6. Boats with 1600 total horsepower are sweet
5. The big party night is sunday, saturday nights are DEAD
4. The 35 km/h (22 mph) speed limit is real and they do enforce it (go figure..)
3. The Mark VIII is wider than most of the roads and unable to be registered in Bermuda (plus it would take $95 to fill the tank with regualr unleaded...)
2. 50 cc mini-scooters would be cooler if they were faster
1. Mini-scooters do not corner as well as regular bikes, especially at 35 mph with 275 lbs on the back = Road Rash sucks

But it was a good vacation over-all.

I thought the speed limit was 22 and there you go flying down the road at 35, probably freaking out all the local ladies. Typical American...Partake in any illegal contraban? Sounds like you had fun.:p

At least you didn't land on your face. THAT sucks. I didn't even notice the road rash. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

BTW, in places like Hawaii and Japan where mopeds are popular, they do make them go fast. Like 100 mph fast. Like hanging with a Z28 in the 1/8th mile fast. And it costs less than a grand in parts, plus another few hundred for an Elite.

the locals would kill you if you actually went the speed limit, all of the taxis we took were going 45-55 at any given normal time. My scooter sucked and 35 was about all my fat ass could get out of it!

The local kids mad the hell out of those things. They all have new exhaust and expansion chambers crazy stuff like that. If I lived there I would still opt for a real motorcycle. I did see a couple nice honda shadows running around.
