18x10?

Could a MK8 accept a 18" x 10" wheel front and back?

Also, what is the stock fitment 5x115mm?

Anything else I should know?

Stock is 5 x 4.25" or 5 x 107.95mm

The Mustang pattern is 5 x 4.5" or 5 x 114.3mm

No it won't fit. A 9.5 would be the widest but even that requires a bit of a fender "roll". I'd go with a 8.5 and run 255/265s on that.

A 18x9 will fit up front and a 18x10 will work in the back with work on the fender. Tire sizes and wheel offset are other important factors.

While those open up an entire new set of possibilities, they also bring on a whole new set of problems.

You could get those but then it will look like you have FWD rims on your car.

i,ve got 18/10 on rear 295/30 tires,had to roll fenders. that is a 50 offset,wheel is 5x108 ferarri after market. i've got a set of 19s i'll sell

There is no way I could have 19"s...

I've cracked more 18"s then I want to think about...

Ok, I can't find any place that makes factory ford style wheels with the 4.25 pattern...

Any ideas?

I tried the place I bought the 18" bullets from, but they said the haven't been able to get them since 07... :(

Ok, went over to tocca and checked out one of their vendors...

They have 1 set of wheels I like, but they are staggered...
18x9 and 18x10...

I'm not real crazy about the wheels not being the same, but just for the sake of argument, what would be involved in rolling the rear fender?

Or perhaps better yet, who would I have to see about rolling the rear fender... lol

Why not see if they'll just sell you 4 18x9's?

What's the offset?

Oh, I did my best to make that happen, but there was no shot...
Apparently, the only place they can get these made is in China (I know... )
and they have a back order with the supplier, and have no idea when they will see more wheels. So they have one set in stock, and they are staggered...

I'm not sure what the offset is, but I've been told this place practically pioneered the 4.25 wheel... at least that is what they claim...

I may call them back tomorrow and ask more questions...
They did say I would have to buy hub rings with the wheels...
Why those little things are worth $5 each, I have no idea... :p

It ain't cheap anymore, but the better option really is a hub swap. ;)

More OEM wheel choices, better brakes, no stupid hub rings. :D

BTW, The hub rings are necessary because the bores in the wheels that they sell are too large for the stock hubs. Without them, you'll probably have vibrations, and not the good kind.

I simply don't have the money to do new hubs and then have to replace all the brakes... and then still have to buy new wheels and tires...

I'm already way past what I had set aside for this car, and it's still not ready for daily driver duty...

Just for the sake of argument, would new rear hubs be able to still use those new bearings, or do those become another waste of money at that point?

If you did it fairly soon, I'm sure I could swap the hubs without damaging the new bearings.

You are literally killing...

my wallet... :p

so what would new hubs cost?

and do I dare ask about good quality brakes?

Front and rear hubs would cost ~ $350.

You'd need relocation brackets for the rear calipers - $85.

Cobra front calipers ~ $250.

F&R Rotors at least $200.

If you do all that, you should also get SS brake lines ~ $150.
