I just wanted to thank everyone on LOD for all the advice, pictures, descriptions and opinions about doing a much needed suspension conversion on my Mark 8. I have been reading threads for almost a year and I finally pulled the trigger in buying the 4 wheel kit from StrutMasters.
As a young man I would take apart my Dad's 1970 Mustang and several times he would have to call in the local mechanic to put things back together again. I am not a mechanic; just a guy who loves a challenge.
Now, with the confidence building advice from many LOD posters, YouTube, the tech hotline and my perseverance, I was able to complete the job on my own. It took me 12 hours and I loved every minute!
After eight months of not driving my hot rod Lincoln, I spent the day driving around town hauling ass and wasting gas!
Again my sincerest gratitude and thanks for everyone's advice.
P.S: Is there any interest in the old cores, shocks brackets, or shock adaptors? My Mark is a garaged California car; so no corrosion issues.
