1994 Console Lid Needs Repair

Hello,

My 1994 center console lid is in need of repair or replacement. The cover seems to be warping and separating from the bottom part. The lid doesn't want to stay latched either. I checked the hinges and the three screws seem to be stripped out and very lose in their holes. I think this is allowing the cover to shift and the latch to come unlatched.

Is this lid repairable? If so what works best for the separation and latching issues? If not where is a good place to get a black lid that is in very good condition?

Probably it is deterioating from sun and heat. This is pretty common. You might watch the auction site. Its fairly common to find them there. I dont know of anyone that has repaired one.

My console lid had a similar problem. i bought some Automotive Goop and put some in the screw holes and hinge area, let it set up for 10 min and then clamped it all together and let it dry. its still holding. i realize it's just a temporary fix. hope this helps.
