1995 Lincoln Mark VIII (8) For Sale

No hits...am I too high? Really a nice car. Shame i have to let it go. It's never broke down or left me or my family stranded. All in all a nice driver. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

P.S. By the way...love the looks of the site and all the information available.

Advertise locally as well... I don't think that price is out of whack... car looks nice from the pictures.

FYI we don't have that many members in Detroit so you may not get many hits from here.

Might be normal in the snow belt, but it still has an impact on the cars value none the less.

Would I buy a snow belt car, Absolutely not.

not just because of a couple of rust spots either...
because every bolt nut and fastener will be corroded to the point of breaking.

have you seen some of the unibody to subframe mounts on snowbelt cars?

Some of them look like swiss cheese...
I would'nt trust something like that with "my life"..
but.."FEEL FREE" if the "price is right".. GO FOR IT!

I have to say.. the car looks good in the pictures, and the price IMHO is roughly double what the car is really worth....mileage is great, but IMHO low miles on an over 10 year old car dont mean much.

Lots of things on the mark 8's simply DIE if they aren't used frequently..such as the air ride, in a corrosive enviroment you can bet the vent soleniod is on it's "last legs".

When I needed a motor and trans for grandmas car, I got a 93 with between 99-100K on it.. with NO RUST with a broken grille for 600.00
Was a shame to take the car apart for just the motor and trans.. but... I did it.

i agree, i started off selling these car parts from new england cars back in 99 till 2003 when i moved to florida, i couldnt believe what it was like to take a florida car apart. i could use regular tools!!! when i took them apart up north they were a rotten mess all the time. full of trapped sand, road salt, and water made for a suprise challenge on every car. as stated the car does look nice in the pics, but holes, rust, snow belt car, kills the sale of it period. these cars can be practically stolen for pennies now. i wont insult you by putting a realistic number on it, but with rust and holes, i know i wouldnt even go look at it in person for the price. if someone is looking for a body repair project then you're all set!

I agree with what Jamie said.. 100%
I really am not trying to insult the seller, I'm sure he really loves the car.

My car had it's share of issues with 400K miles on it.. but none of the issues were rust.

Honestly, that car probably would be worth more in parts that it is as a whole car.
The low mile drivetrain would be interesting to many folks.

If the interior is in good shape you could get a good portion of your asking price just by ebaying the black interior parts (lots of people looking for black parts)

I hope you get a fair price for your car.

Thanks everyone for replying. I come back 2 days later and I have 10 posts...lol Nice! I apreciate everyones input, respect and honesty. I haven't been registered here but I always am reading everyones posts and love the look of the site. As for the car - I understand the issue with the rust-bealt thing. I continuously spray down the fastners for the suspension and such so just incase it ever has to come apart I can get it apart without too much effort. I always anti-seize the cars I take apart. Just makes things easier down the road. As for the swiss cheese effect....eventhough the car has seen winters...the undercarriage is not as bad as one might think. Actually not too bad. I even took another look last night when I had all 4 wheels off to get new tires. Still looking good. Car has undercoating or whatnot in the wheelwells so those are in great shape but I believe most of these cars had that from the factory. New tires are 4 Goodyears. Good quality tire - 60,000 mile - static balanced to .00 and not a single vibration...tested last night to 100 MPH. I don't like driving that fast anymomre. Getting older and just know better. But I wanted to make sure it was safe. Oh, and it has newer brakes all the way around (pads and rotors). I'd let it go for $2500 cash with the stock JBL stereo if anyone is interested.

Can someone edit my first post with my new link?: http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/672226079.html

Thanks everyone.
