FOR THE PAST COUPLE WEEKS MY CAR WILL START ONE DAY AND NOT THE NEXT DAY I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO AND I BELEIVE MY PROBLEM NOW IS IT IS NOT FIRING.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THIS?
THE CAR RAN FINE YESTERDAY BUT WILL NOT START TODAY.

Either the cam sensor, or the crank sensor. The cam sensor is way easier to replace. The crank sensor you have to loosen all the bolts on the A/C compressor and slide it backwards to replace.

Where is the cam sensor located?

RE: 1995 Mark VIII WILL NOT START

Behind the power sterring resevoir.Sometimes the sensor is good but the wires that go to it get brittle and break on the inside. It will look good from the outside but inside the wire is not making a good connection.

you know, this might be a longshot, but check your electronics....... I have had various intermittant problems with ford products which always seem to track to a short somewhere.

Hi if it turnss but wont start could be ignition control unit which is under hood behind fuse box under plastic casing cost $400.00 I have one for $200.00,check it out

RE: 1995 Mark VIII WILL NOT START

mine did that, fuse #11 was out (I had a big short a few days ago, and all kinds of fuses went out).

Or the IVAC is disconected.
