1996 Blown Mark 8

RE: 1996 Blown Mark 8

coolness,ok since i have 2 mark 8 masters here, can you guys tell me what would be less of a pain in the wallet,a crate engine or a super solid rebuild on the engine i already have.and what kind of warranty does the crate engine have?i'm goin from the ground up on this one and any help would be appreciated.thanks guys.

There are normally no warrantys on race engines you can safely run up to 6/9 PSI on a stock motor on pump gas, if its tuned right. So its your call as to which way to go.

Dennis,

What are those two braided lines on the left capped with red and blue anodized plugs?

And I like the blue wires too - got a set myself! And looking forward to my next plug change where I don't have to re-do the wires again! UGH!! What a beeeyatch those things are.

Why is it no one will admit to using nitrous? Its like buying condoms, no one will admit to doing that, but they sure as hell will.

RE: 1996 Blown Mark 8

Well, if he were spraying it on top of 560 RWHP i'd be hoping for a wee bit better than high 10's :).

He put the nitrous on it with the old motor, and i never saw any times with the nitrous. And if you're already running 11's, and spraying it on top of that, and you're on the street, you have a death wish. Wasn't there some issues with frying the EEC after the cage was put in, then some fuel delivery problems, that prevented a "let's see what it'll REALLY do" run before it got tore down again?

Dennis, once you're used to that level of power, i bet you hook the nitrous back up :).

That car looks mean. I love those widened stock rims. You should put your phone number under the vortech sticker, so that when you blow someone away they know who to call to win the next one.

I am not a big fan of N20 so I dont feel I need it. I am at the point now of having to worry about snapping a half shaft I so I left the N20 off.
