1996 Opal Opalescent Mark VIII

RE: 1996 Opal Opalescent Mark VIII

JP..."son of driller"....I actually prefered

Drill Bit

anyway...Max...is your heart breaking? It would absolutely be a tear jerker if i saw MY old car in photos at the track.

also, didnt I snag a 15.25 in that car at sac at 95 mph? I cant remember...I do know it spun pretty bad....

anyway, as for the 'with all the Calif emissions crap' comment...I thought these cars were all "50 state" built? What added junk do we California car owners have that other states dont? or are you just refering to the state it came from?

Max, BTW...there is a Silver 98 LSC knocking on my door....and I am afraid to answer.

My car never broke 95 ... I think your run was at 94.2x. Yea, I certainly miss the car, it always got the looks from people. Someone would always say nice car... or what is it... or something like that. I really like the way those wheels look on that car, and I just came to realize how much I liked that Color. I like Silver, but it is NOT the same thing, every other car is silver, and even if you wash it a lot it just doesn't stand out. Opal Opalescent was special, very few cars have similar looking colors.

'Round these parts they call it white. :+

Nah, just kidding, it is a BEAUTIFUL color, and it does stand out from the crowd. It is similar in respect to the blue Town Car. In hazy overcast weather it appears "plain", but in direct light or sunlight the color really 'jumps' at you with depth, sparkle and gleam. :9

That reminds me, I need to get the timeslip from 'drill bit' and post the numbers.

I love it.... Drill Bit

that's a keeper.

BTW, the car looks just as good as ever, and I was honored that Max let me drive it, work on it, and admire it.

Max...dont worry pal...judging by your list of giidoes you have planned, your Silver Gen 2 will stand out on its own just fine. ;)

Thanks for sharing, JP...always a pleasure.

Wow...Congrats JP. That car is beautiful. And has the HIDs and bullet rims to boot. That must of been pretty cool going cross country. I have a road trip planned to NY in July too now that the bugs are worked out of the car. I really like the white, it makes the car look shorter like a shortened wheelbase from the side. Very clean.

Wait.......that car has no moonroof! ive only seen one other here in Florida with no moonroof. Theres another 150 pounds lighter to start with! I think it wants your 4:10's and an exhaust and...;)

Congrats JP! I love the drill bit moniker. Don't you have a VII also? So isn't this "club 23"?

RE: 1996 Opal Opalescent Mark VIII

Thanks guys. :)

No real plans for the '96 as of yet but I'm sure the time will come. ;)

I still have the VII, sort of. 'Drill Bit' now drives it almost exclusively. :+
