Hello,
The factory installed alarm in my 1997 Continental has been acting up with the colder weather and I've tried most of the things that folks have recommended. I'm at the point of disconnecting it, but am unsure how to do this. I called a local car alarm store and they said they can disable it for $40, but I'd like to try it myself before doing that. Plus I don't want folks knowing that my alarm's disabled...
I've found some references of splicing into the dark green/purple factory alarm disarm wire and grounding it, but can not locate it. They said it was located in the passenger kick panel to the right side of the glove box in a silver box.
I pulled the passenger kick panel off but could not locate a silver box? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
