Ok here goes. I am out of work with my 3rd back surgery facing a 4th. (Fusion this time.) I hate to do it but may have to sell my baby, which was my dream car for years, going back to the Mark VII. I know the mileage is right, I checked it out at the time. Did a little digging and called the previous owner. He used it for a daily driver in New England. Lived about 4 miles from work and that was it. Prior to me having it no one had sat in the back seat.
1997 Mark VIII LSC 52,000 Miles. Black/Black.
I bought the car in 2004 with 40,168. (So you can see how much I drive it.)
Mostly garaged since my owning it.
I have gone through the front end, Ball Joints and Tie Rods.
4 New (a couple of years ago now) Michelin Tires. 4 Like new directional rims with extra center caps. I have the original 4 pitted ones as well.
HID's work with an extra bulb. (Reconditioned a couple of years ago.)
Rear Neon Works. (Purchased a like new neon of of *&^% Auction Site coupled with the Current Ballast Mod.)
I currently use Mark VIII Mats in the car, but also have the proper black LSC mats in almost new condition.
Everything works in the car. Rides Awesome!
Prior to Surgery I would take it to work 2X a month during the Sunny days / Summer days.
Since Surgery; I start it at least once a month or so, let it warm and run it up and down the highway, stopping by the car wash and to top it off with Super and Stabyl.
Now for the Bad;
Needs a Paint Job, at least on roof and part of hood and deck. (Typical Ford Primer issue.)
Drivers Seat leather is a little rough, could use replacing.
Steering column is temperamental with the telescoping feature, but tilts fine.
Has a code indicating a small vacuum leak.
I will be posting some pictures and take any offers someone wants to through my way. Its a great car to bring back to factory, especially with the low mileage. I bought it right and put a few thousand into it, but I am a realist. I know what the car is worth realistically. If there is some interest I will probably sell it even though I am having emotional issues over the thought.
I will get some pictures up in the next day or so. Its supposed to snow here tomorrow so it will be after that all clears.
