1998 Mark VIII LSC Ivory Pearl/Ivory

Beautiful car, Mike. I'm a sucker for pearlescent white on any luxury car. It's the only color that whitewalls go with that well. The ivory interior and chrome wheels complement it well, too. Ever think about a slight sensor lowering, about 1 inch front and rear? Keeps the appearance stock, but it gets rid of a lot of the black showing in the wheelwells. I never understood why Lincoln sent them out so high up.

Sounds like you're enjoying the car. Hope you keep it up for several more years.

Regards,

Michael

Very beautiful specimen of the Gen2. :D

If it were mine I would tint the glass, do a suspension lowering and put some Cobra Rs on it. That's about all it needs. ;)

I'm kinda leery of NOS, and for the same money you could find a set of lower gears and a trac-loc to graft into your rear differential. That would give you about the same performance boost that's available 24/7, and none of the risks of NOS. OK, so you might need a $500 driveshaft to go with it, but that's something likely to be needed for a performance application anyway.

Damn. That car has 90K miles on it? Color me impressed.

... I am apprehensive to sensor lowering because I believe the geometry change will not enhance the already fatigued components involved, and the eventual failure of the components is accelerated. [/div]

I used to think the same way, but I figured if they're going to fail, it's only a matter of time anyways, so might as well do what you want and go with the flow. ;)

Be aware that tinting laws can be a trap. Since the Mark VIII has solar tint glass, applying maximum legal tint will yield an illegal combination if they use a meter to measure the VLT for inspection. ::nono::
