2007 Annual MI M8 Meet dates and info

It is this time of the year again.
Let’s make this year’s meet even bigger and better.
Last year we had many great people attending, with 16 Mark VIIIs present at the event.

I am sure we can do better this year, a LOT better. My neighbors are ready for whatever.

It looks like we have July and August to work with since June is Carlisle month.

Early August is the latest is in my opinion, as we need some of this summer weather.

We’ll do a roll call as soon as the date is established.

Everyone that made it to last year's meet HAS to be there this year as well :D​
 
Anytime in August except the 25th will be fine for me. I have a humane shelter fundraiser to attend that day.
 
august works for me, tho i have to talk to the boss about gettin the day off depending on what time its at, where will the location be? and time of the meet?
 
So far it looks like August 11th will be the date. I have some other people inquire about that specific day, so hopefully it will work out for everyone else.

Main event will be on a Saturday, most likely located in my O driveway in Farmington Hills, just off I-696 and I-275. Time ... pretty much all day, late into the night !
 
I'll do my best to make it. Will someone be setting up a group rate at a nearby hotel or anything?
 
Sharon, it'd be great if you all (Hubby, and John included) could make it !

We can look into that, although I think we only had 4 people (2 rooms I imagine ;)) staying at the local hotel last year. But if it's needed, we can definitely get that set-up.

My backyard is always open for the tents and what not.
 
Cool! I'll let you know as it gets closer, but I know that's something we'd love to attend if at all possible!
 
Too bad it wasn't mid-July, we might have been able to be there on way back from our X-country trip. My brother lives in Birmingham, MI

I hope we can set everything up so that we can have fun all weekend long.
For those arriving Friday evening/night, we can meet up at a local restaurant, or even have a pre BBQ at my place.
I don't want this to be a few hours event, we had so much last year in one day, that if we made a weekend out of it, it'd be perfect !

BTW, does this forum software allow a sign up list ?
 
Maybe, just maybe I will be in the area on the weekend of the 10th, 11th, and 12th of August.

If so I would love to meet all you guy' and gal's after all these years of reading your posts, now is the time to meet you'all in person and see all the famous marks.

I think it would be great to have someone from California at the meet.

Wow, that will be a good time! I wish there were more people on the forums in the NE area. There was a good meet years back with a great turn out.
 
I already have 2 other events on my calendar on the 11th. A friend of mine is getting married that day, so there's almost no chance I could make it. The 12th would work.

So far, for me, every Saturday in August is taken with the possible exception of the 18th, which is the day of the dream cruise. I stay away from the dream cruise because it's not on the water.

September is open for me.
 
I am in :) Not sure where I will hang my hat yet, while in MI. I will probably spend about a week there to get the Jeep paperwork done, and spend some time with my daughter.

Great idea Jeremi - I like the idea of a weekend type gathering. Just not enough time for me to squish it all in during one day.

Seriously though, if more people arrive on Friday, maybe we can get together that night ? We can get a DD and go out to my fav. local Irish pub ?

JP, any news on that sign up list ?
