24 hours of Lemons

Damn, you need to invite me to these events! Sounds like a great time, but I don't understand why anyone would waste beer....

Sweet!

Makes me glad I am keeping my crown royal victoria running!

So far 215k miles on trans and engine!! O.O Hope it'll last a bit longer... I always wanted to reach 300k on an all stock car!

I have a couple more pictures to add... Someone had to do a burnout! It was a borrowed trailer so I did 2 - a small one, then I looked over at the owners of the trailer and saw them cheering, so then I did a big one.

This is PI so it has Track Lock and 3.55 right? As well as that oil cooler (which is probably leaking at this point yes?

Yes it has a 3.55 and a trac-lock. I think it's 3.55 at least. It was all rebuilt not too long before we acquired the car. It does have a massive tranny cooler (full width of the radiator) and an oil cooler up there somewhere too. I don't think we have any leaks anymore though. The oil pressure sensor was leaking but we fixed that before the race.

We got it ready for winter yesterday. 7 of 8 cylinders have 150 psi compression, #2, is at about 135 or so, but goes up to 150 with a little oil poured in to seal the rings. Should be okay though. Also needs a coil - we had a part throttle miss the whole race. Plugs were looking pretty lean too. Also looks like it could use a right upper ball joint. Other than that she's cherry!

The car actually feels pretty quick since it's totally gutted. The cage made a world of difference in handling, too. Stockity stock suspension with a touch of toe out in the front and it turns real nice, real neutral. It's still huge so it struggles a bit on the real slow speed stuff but if you get the line right, it'll fly through the high speed stuff.
